Personal Assistant — Brooklyn, NY

Location: Brooklyn, NY — approximately 20 minutes from Park Slope
Compensation: $150,000/year
Schedule: Full-time with flexibility; some weekend support as needed
Travel: Occasional personal travel support

A busy CEO and entrepreneur is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Private Personal Assistant to bring structure and efficiency to his personal life and household. This is a hands-on role for someone who can take ownership, anticipate needs, and confidently manage the details of a busy familys day-to-day life. The principal has an existing Executive Assistant who manages his professional schedule and business responsibilities. This role will focus primarily on personal, family, household, and lifestyle management.

Responsibilities

- Establish and manage an organized household operating system

- Coordinate and oversee a cleaning service to manage laundry, deep cleaning, kitchen and closet organization, pantry organization, labeling, and general household upkeep

- Manage household vendors, repairs, household technology, decorations, flowers, and general home needs

- Coordinate/plan meals and manage grocery shopping

- Support a family with two young children and coordinate with the live-in nanny

- Provide backup childcare support when needed, including school drop-off/pick-up and playdates

- Manage childrens gifts, activities, and social calendars

- Coordinate personal travel, packing, personal shopping, memberships, subscriptions, insurance renewals, and bill payments

- Anticipate needs and proactively handle tasks before they become issues

- Potentially coordinate a family move in 2027, including logistics and vendors

Ideal Candidate

- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Personal Assistant, Household Manager, or similar role

- Exceptionally organized, proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented

- Confident and assertive enough to take ownership and follow through without constant direction

- Comfortable managing multiple areas of a household and familys personal life simultaneously

- Strong understanding of privacy, discretion, and professional boundaries

- Warm, personable, and comfortable working closely with a family and household staff

- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is a bonus but not required

- Local to Brooklyn/Park Slope area and comfortable with a primarily in-person role

- Flexible and willing to provide occasional weekend support

The ideal candidate is someone who can step in, assess what needs to be done, create systems, and simply get it done—giving the principal more time and allowing his personal and household life to run smoothly.
