Total Rental Center is looking for a dependable, safety-focused CDL Driver to support our customers and operations by delivering, transporting, and retrieving construction and heavy equipment.
This role is a good fit for someone who takes pride in safe equipment operation, communicates well, stays organized, and can adapt to changing customer and delivery needs throughout the day. The CDL Driver will operate commercial vehicles and construction equipment while maintaining required inspections, documentation, and safety standards. Driver - CDL
What You'll Do
- Deliver and pick up construction and heavy equipment for customers
- Operate semi-trucks, trailers, including lowboys, and other equipment consistent with Class A or B CDL requirements
- Operate boom trucks and cranes in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections
- Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery paperwork, and other required documentation
- Follow applicable safety requirements and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager and sales team regarding delivery schedules and customer needs
- Report accidents, equipment concerns, or service needs promptly
- Assist customers by identifying additional equipment or supplies they may need
- Adjust daily schedules as operational and customer needs change

What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL
- Acceptable driving record
- At least 2 years of DOT-regulated commercial driving experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving practices
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment Driver - CDL
Physical Requirements
This position may involve work in both office and jobsite environments. The role requires frequent sitting, walking, standing, bending, and reaching and may require lifting items up to 40 pounds . Employees must also be able to safely navigate jobsites and comply with applicable safety requirements. Driver - CDL
Salary offers are typically made between the entry and midpoint of the range and are based on factors such as experience, education, and internal equity.
Pay Transparency $27 — $32 USD
Background Check & Pre-Employment Screening
All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Background checks may include verification of employment history, education, criminal records, and references. For positions with access to company financial accounts or credit card programs, a credit history check may also be conducted.
