The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about connecting great people with meaningful opportunities? Red River Co-op is looking for a Talent Advisor who can bring energy, insight, and creativity to how we attract and welcome talent across our organization.

In this role, you’ll guide the full recruitment and onboarding experience while partnering with leaders to understand workforce needs, strengthen hiring practices, and support people-focused initiatives.

Working out of our Home Office located at 10 Prairie Way in Winnipeg, MB , you’ll serve as a trusted partner to leaders in unionized and non-unionized environments, offering practical guidance on recruitment, collective agreement interpretation, employment legislation, human rights, organizational policies, and employee relations.

What You’ll Do:

- Lead full-cycle recruitment from planning and posting through sourcing, assessment, selection, and offer management.
- Partner with leaders to anticipate staffing needs and create proactive, inclusive hiring strategies.
- Develop talent pipelines for key and hard-to-fill roles through networking, direct sourcing, referrals, social media, and community partnerships.
- Coach hiring leaders on interviewing, candidate evaluation, selection decisions, and recruitment best practices.
- Enhance recruitment and onboarding programs, tools, systems, and Applicant Tracking System processes.
- Maintain clear, market-informed job profiles that reflect business needs and support consistent decision-making.
- Create & use recruitment metrics and hiring trends to identify opportunities, improve processes, and measure results.
- Support onboarding experiences that help new team members feel informed, prepared, and connected.
- Provide practical HR guidance that supports employee engagement, workplace effectiveness, and organizational goals.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

- 5+ years’ experience in recruitment, talent management, human resources, or a related field.
- Experience using HRIS platforms and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Demonstrated ability to source candidates through direct outreach, social recruiting, referrals, community connections, and traditional channels.
- Strong understanding of recruitment, onboarding, and related HR practices.
- Clear, confident communicator with strong coaching, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative and inclusive, with a genuine interest in building strong relationships and supporting shared success.
