Are you an ambitious financial services professional looking to accelerate your career in wealth management? Northern Trust Securities, Inc. (NTSI) is seeking an Associate Financial Advisor who is eager to learn, grow, and develop into a trusted advisor for high-net-worth clients.
In this role, you'll work alongside an experienced Senior Financial Advisor, gaining hands-on exposure to client relationship management, financial planning, investment solutions, and business development. You'll partner with industry-leading specialists across Northern Trust Asset Management, Capital Markets, and third-party investment providers to help deliver sophisticated wealth management strategies and exceptional client experiences.
Most importantly, this position offers a structured pathway toward managing your own client relationships and ultimately building a personal book of business as a Financial Advisor.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with a Senior Financial Advisor to support and deepen client relationships.
- Participate in client meetings and assist with financial planning, portfolio reviews, and investment recommendations.
- Conduct investment and market research to support client conversations and planning opportunities.
- Learn and utilize financial planning technology, including eMoney, to help develop comprehensive client strategies.
- Collaborate with internal specialists and business partners to deliver customized wealth management solutions.
- Support business development efforts through client outreach, relationship expansion, and portfolio conservation initiatives.
- Assist with account administration, servicing requests, and regulatory documentation.
- Develop the knowledge and confidence necessary to independently manage client relationships over time.

What We're Looking For:
- 1-3 years of experience in wealth management, brokerage, investment advisory, or financial services. Direct sales experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- FINRA licenses required: SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 (or Series 63/65).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset with a passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of investment products and financial markets; options experience is a plus.

Salary Range:
$70,490 - 119,890 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
