Principal Accountabilities

- # Manage and perform various aspects of mechanical system design including pipe materials, valve materials and special items materials, piping insulation etc.
- Support mechanical system review for PFD and P&ID development.
- To design P&ID pipe spec, pressure rating, and provide pressure test drawing information.
- Provide technical clarification and approval with vendor for requisition.
- Understanding AP engineering standards, spec and international industry piping engineering code and local code.
- Support project proposal estimation, project execution, commissioning and start up as requested.
- Support on site mechanical system construction for technical issues and provide resolution suggestion.
- Maintain and develop design work process, ensure it is implemented appropriately.
- Determine design strategy, consult on engineering codes and principles, participate in project execution and commercial strategies on multiple projects.
- Leads in problem solving on significant issues.
- Contributes to development of AP standards and procedures.
- Track all mechanical design lessons learned and lead action teams to develop required improvement.
- Providing support to other AP engineering centers as workload requires.

Recommended Skills and Experience

- 5 + years’ experience in mechanical system Engineering for Gas, Chemical ,Petrochemical and underground pipeline with Design institute or engineering company.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Be able to travel to site as required .
- Be familiar with ultra-pure grade pipe system design for semiconductor industry ( BA/ EP grade system).
- Skills in smart P&ID design tools will be a plus .
- Well understand Taiwan local and international pipe and valve engineering standards and design codes , be familiar with ASME B31.3 .
- Well understand design, check and approve procedure as well as interface with other functions and disciplines .
- Language skill in English for both written and oral will be preferred.
