Eligibility
Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position.
The opportunity
This role is responsible for the delivery of Ground Crewman Mission Support LMP training material at School of Army Aviation, including the training and assessment of Initial Employment Trainees, while being responsive to the Army Aviation Training Centre, subject to any International Traffic in Arms or Intellectual Property constraints.
Key responsibilities include the following and more
* Perform Qualified Assessor and Trade Testing Officer functions as directed;
* Conduct GCMS training within the barracks environment and or field environment;
* Review and amend courseware and handouts as required in accordance with extant policy;
* Contribute to the review and amendment of LMP as directed;
* Undertake all phases of the Systems Approach to Defence learning;
* Oversee the review and authorisation of the sections ePEX;
* Understand and comply with the principles of equity and diversity for the Australian Defence Force (ADF), Army’s Rule for a Fair Go and the Army Code of Conduct;
* Understand and comply with the requirements of the Workplace Health and Safety legislation and the Defence Safety Manual;
* Understand and comply with Defence environmental management policy and practices to ensure the sustainable use of the environment;
* Ensure compliance with the Operational and Technical Airworthiness regulatory frameworks.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Essential
* Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex technical information. This includes strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to design and deliver engaging training sessions.
* Well-developed commitment to safety procedures and protocols in aviation maintenance
* Minimum of two years Instructional and Assessor experience
Desirable
* CERT IV TAE 16 or higher;
* 120337 Avn GCMS CP Operator Course;
* Specialist Combat Communications Course;
* Avn GCMS CP Op CH47F, and Avn GCMS CP Op UH60M;
* Trained in Defence Aviation Non-Technical Skills;
* Trained in Defence aviation and Military Risk Management; and
* Airside Level 1 and 2 trained.
* CAMM2 qualified.
