What’s the role?
Join our Cloud Networks team and build your career in cloud networking and infrastructure. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll support and maintain cloud networking services across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform while developing practical skills in cloud operations, incident management, networking and infrastructure delivery. You'll contribute to operational support, network changes, cloud onboarding activities, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in one of Australia's largest and most complex technology environments. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their technical capabilities and progress their career in cloud networking.
What do I need?
- Foundational understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, subnetting, firewalls and VPNs.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud through study, personal projects, internships or early career experience.
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows operating systems and command-line tools.
- Interest in cloud networking, infrastructure and security technologies, with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach technical issues in a logical and structured way.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical information clearly.
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to ask questions, seek feedback and work closely with teammates and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage priorities and work effectively within a structured service and support environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning, professional development and pursuing relevant technical certifications.
- Exposure to scripting, automation or Infrastructure as Code tools such as Python, Bash, Terraform or Ansible would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira or similar service management and collaboration platforms would be advantageous.
