Work Experience

Holds relevant technical qualifications (Bachelor, Master or equivalent) or a relevant level of experience to perform the stress engineering tasks.

3-7 years of experience with strong knowledge of airframe Fatigue and static stress including FEA & hand calculation methods.

Knowledge of static and fatigue design values

Stress report writing

Experience in static analysis checks of aero structure using standard OEM methods

Fatigue calculations (Hand calculations, DFEM, ISAMI, GFEM load redistribution)

Calculation of Seq stresses (fatigue and crack propagation), understanding of mission profiles, rainflow counting, Miner's rule, stress files, FESPS databases, Spectra generation.

Calculation of Stress concentration (Kt) values using Petersons' or DFEM or ISAMI modules.

Ability to read the drawings and interpret fastener diameter, fastener fit, fastener spec & type, surface protection treatment to be useful for fatigue calculations.

Develop, implement, and check technical solutions and compliance documentation to ensure they are compliant with all relevant customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements, within agreed program, schedule, and manufacturing constraints.

Sound knowledge of airframe fatigue substantiation including safe life and fracture mechanics techniques
