# Job Description – Lead AWS DevOps Engineer
Role: Lead AWS DevOps Engineer Experience: 9–12 Years Location: Hyderabad / Ahmedabad Employment Type: Full-time
### Job Summary
We are looking for a Lead AWS DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud, DevOps automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud architecture. The candidate will lead DevOps initiatives, drive automation and cloud best practices, and work closely with development, architecture, security, and business teams.
### Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure .
- Define and implement DevOps and CI/CD strategies across multiple applications and environments.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild , or similar tools.
- Lead Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform and/or CloudFormation .
- Design and manage AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, ALB/NLB, Route 53, CloudWatch , etc.
- Lead containerization and orchestration initiatives using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS .
- Implement automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, deployments, and operational processes.
- Establish best practices for AWS security, IAM, networking, monitoring, logging, and cost optimization .
- Design solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and performance .
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide technical guidance to engineering and operations teams.
- Drive DevSecOps practices, including security scanning, vulnerability management, secrets management, and compliance automation.
- Mentor and guide DevOps engineers and conduct technical reviews.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to improve delivery processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, deployment frequency, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and production support activities.

Skills Required :

- 9+ years of experience in DevOps/Cloud Engineering with strong AWS expertise.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture and services .
- Excellent experience in CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation .
- Strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code .
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes/AWS EKS .
- Strong knowledge of AWS networking – VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, NACLs, load balancers, and Route 53.
- Strong understanding of IAM, security, encryption, and secrets management .
- Experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting .
- Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Shell, or Bash .
- Experience with monitoring and logging using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK , or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of Git and source-control management .
- Proven experience in technical leadership and mentoring .
