Business Leader - ANZ

Objective of the function:

The principal objective of the Business Leader is to develop and implement the Country/ Area Strategy in order to establish CAE as National Training Partner of choice. Therefore, the Business Leader will harvest the established customer intimacy to achieve a better market position, lead and fund innovation for improved competitiveness with the objective to grow the business profitably.

The Business Leader will lead, manage and govern the business objectives through a country committee, consisting of all business functions.

To achieve the objective of the role, the following tasks / activities will be carried out:

- Represent CAE internally and externally as the Senior-in-country representative in relation to all business activities

- Drive a collaboration and growth mindset within the Country Leadership Team

- Lead a matrix team to deliver to Design, Implement Country Strategy

- Lead Senior Stakeholder and Government Relationship by representing CAE with the local government customers and other key stakeholders for all matters related to the conduct of business, development of opportunities and business reputation

- Lead a matrix team representing the country committee in a manner consistent with CAE’s values in order to achieve defined business objectives

- Be an officer of any relevant legal entities or JV

- Lead Senior Stakeholder and Government Relationship

- Support relationships with the dominant OEMs in the country

- Develop in country Brand recognition and associated strategy

- Develop and maintain in-country internal and external communication plans

- Represents CAE senior management to the in-country employees

- Be accountable for delivery of revenue and profit for the Country

- Guide all in-country operations (EH&S, Quality Assurance, Export Control, IT…) under the leadership of the C&TS leaders

- Encourages and supports innovation in a manner consistent with CAE business culture & objectives

The Business Leader is also responsible for inspiring the team workforce in country and providing strategic support to achieve objectives.

The Country Leader’s Key Performance Indicator will be a measure of:

- Order Intake & IPT
- Customer Satisfaction
- R&D funding

- Employee engagement and living CAE culture
