About the Role

As a SeniorTransaction Monitoring Analyst within the Risk function, you will be responsible for monitoring fund transfers across the bank to detect and report suspicious activities, including potential Anti-Money Laundering (AML) concerns. This role involves investigating flagged transactions, preparing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), and advising business units on AML-related risks. You will also support the development of risk strategies and contribute to the bank’s broader compliance and customer-first objectives through data analysis and trend identification.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

- Investigate suspicious activities across all types of fund transfers.
- Perform AML monitoring for assigned business units and support independent reviews and investigations.
- Aggregate data from multiple sources to provide comprehensive risk assessments.
- Prepare and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) in accordance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
- Advise business units on AML-related risks and suspicious activity patterns.
- Identify economic and financial trends that may pose risks to the bank.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Secondary Responsibilities

- Support the development of risk strategies and processes that align with the bank’s customer-first approach and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance monitoring frameworks and improve operational efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

Education

- Graduation: Full time graduate in any discipline from a recognised institution.

Experience

- Minimum of 8 years of total experience in transaction monitoring, AML investigations, or related risk functions within BFSI industry.

Skills and Attributes

- Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.
- Good understanding of AML regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to interpret complex data and identify suspicious patterns.
- Effective communication and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in using data aggregation tools and risk monitoring systems.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and functions.
