The Role – Senior Collections Advisor

We are looking for an experienced, driven and target-focused Senior Collections Advisor to join our fast-paced, high-energy team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced collections professional who is confident managing a portfolio of accounts, handling more complex cases and using strong negotiation skills to achieve positive recovery outcomes.

You’ll take ownership of your own portfolio of B2B arrears accounts, working directly with business customers to recover outstanding balances and agree repayment solutions. You’ll also be expected to support the wider collections team, share your experience and help maintain high standards across the function.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and take ownership of a portfolio of B2B customer accounts in arrears
- Proactively contact customers via phone, email and written communication
- Negotiate payment plans and drive successful debt recovery outcomes
- Work towards and exceed monthly collection targets
- Assess customer circumstances and apply appropriate collection strategies
- Take ownership of more complex, sensitive or high-risk cases
- Accurately record all customer interactions, agreements and account activity
- Escalate cases appropriately and work closely with relevant internal teams
- Support and share best practice with other members of the collections team
- Help maintain high standards of compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
- Contribute to a high-performance, target-driven team culture

About You

- Previous experience within collections, ideally within fintech or wider financial services
- Experience in a lending, brokerage, SME finance or similar environment would be beneficial
- Strong track record of achieving collection or recovery targets
- Confident handling challenging conversations and negotiating payment solutions
- Comfortable managing complex customer situations and making sound decisions
- Resilient, motivated and able to perform under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident working independently and taking ownership of a portfolio
- Positive attitude with a willingness to support and develop others
