We have a new opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Operator to join our team, based in Bargeddie, Glasgow , working 40 hours per week (4 on 4 off day shift)

The salary for this role will be £30,784 per year with participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits. This role will be based in Bargeddie, Glasgow.

As a Multiskilled Operator , no two days will necessarily be the same. Depending on operational requirements, your responsibilities could include:

- Operating a forklift truck

- Supporting weighbridge operations and maintaining accurate records

- Acting as a Traffic Marshal and helping ensure site traffic is managed safely

- Carrying out picking and recycling operations

- Operating equipment such as balers in accordance with safe operating procedures

- Completing daily equipment checks and reporting any defects or issues

- Supporting general site cleaning, housekeeping and litter-picking activities

- Helping to clear plant blockages safely and keeping operational areas clean and tidy

- Completing electronic and paper-based records, including production logs, site checks and defect reports

- Working flexibly across different tasks and areas according to operational priorities

- Supporting other Clyde Valley sites occasionally when required

Safety is at the heart of this role. You’ll follow all site Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, including LOTOTO and traffic management procedures , and proactively raise any concerns or non-conformances.

What are we looking for?

You’ll be comfortable working in a busy operational environment and enjoy being part of a team where everyone contributes to keeping the site running safely and effectively.

To be successful, you’ll need:

- Previous experience working in a production or operational environment

- Experience of working effectively as part of a team

- A strong awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace

- Good communication skills

- The ability to follow structured processes with consistent attention to detail

- Basic IT skills, including email and operational systems

- A Forklift Truck licence

- A flexible approach and willingness to undertake a variety of operational duties

- The ability to complete checks, records and site documentation accurately

Experience within a recycling or waste environment and basic maintenance skills would be beneficial but are not essential.

This is an opportunity to develop a broad range of operational skills rather than being limited to one activity. We’re looking for someone who can become competent across multiple areas of the operation, with Multiskilled Operators trained to undertake at least three key site activities , including weighbridge operation, mobile plant, traffic marshalling and picking operations.
