Purchasing Agent

Purchasing of parts/components of Natural Gas Compressor packages and maintaining predetermined facility inventory. Candidate will be required at times to pick up parts from vendors and make deliveries of parts to customer locations.

- Researching products and comparing prices

- Assessing the quality and reliability of potential suppliers

- Tracking purchases and shipments

- Approving purchase orders and making payments to vendors

- Reviewing requisition forms, including the vendor, dates of approval and product quantity

- Soliciting bids from potential suppliers

- Forecasting inventory needs based on sales trends

- Administering vendor contracts, including drafting and following up on those needing renewal
