A Brief Overview
This role is designed for a hands-on, implementation-oriented automation developer who will help build automations for clinical and operational use cases. This position will focus on building and evaluating safe, scalable, and reusable solutions for healthcare environments. All projects focus on helping clinical and operational staff spend less time on manual work and more time on activities that directly support patient care and organizational outcomes.  Representative projects focus on all areas of the hospital and may include RPA, Intelligent Automation, and AI agent workloads. The role will work closely with business and technical teams to design and deliver solutions with a focus on adopting reusable architectures, enforcing standards, and ensuring the delivery of governed, scalable solutions. Success in this role requires balancing innovation with responsible governance, ensuring all automations meet organizational standards for security, privacy, reliability, and patient safety. The ideal candidate will be excited by creating solutions to all problems found in a clinical and operational healthcare setting. This position is likely to be most attractive to candidates who enjoy digging into processes, learning how they work, devising solutions, and then delivering them for the benefit of others.

What you will do

- Discuss processes with business stakeholders with an eye on repetition and variance.
- Design solutions to support the processes
- Deliver supportable, governable, and resilient solutions in UIPath and MS Power Automate
- Work closely with applications research group to translate models and algorithms into engineered production applications.
- Contribute to manuscript writing for results publication, authors abstracts, and presents at professional conferences.

Preferred Experience

- Demonstrated proficiency with automation tools (UI Path Studio/Microsoft Power Automate)
- Fundamental knowledge regarding cloud based solutions and their platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Proficiency with developing and implementing scalable automations
- Basic proficiency with validation, monitoring, safety (identifying and addressing vulnerabilities, biases, and edge cases before deployment)
- Fundamental knowledge of orchestration frameworks and/or multi-agentic work
- Experience working in a regulated environment.

Skills and Abilities

- Basic proficiency with formulating analysis plans, selecting appropriate methods, and implementing scalable automation
- Basic proficiency with programing languages (Python, java, C/C++, C#, etc)
- Basic proficiency with writing code in applied academic or professional projects
- Fundamental knowledge of relational databases (Postgres, MySQL)
- Fundamental knowledge of web services application programming interfaces
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lead work initiatives with minimal supervision
- Ability to teach others development and engineering practices
- Ability to lead a development team through projects
- Ability to gather, analyze and make recommendations/decisions based on data / best practices

Education Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree IS or related field - Required

Experience Qualifications

- At least five (5) years of clinical or financial data integration development experience. Required and
- At least one (1) year maintenance support. Required and
- Experience working on complex team-oriented projects. Required
- Healthcare experience. Preferred or
- Consulting experience. Preferred

SALARY RANGE:

$107,200.00 - $142,100.00 Annually

Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
