About this role

In this role, you will be contributing to our investment capabilities by structuring and executing mid-market private debt transactions as Allianz Global Investors continues to expand its existing Private Credit platform across Europe.

You will be joining a direct lending team of 28 Investment professionals based in Paris, Munich, London, and Rotterdam. You will be expected to deliver seamless deal execution, with the ability to grow your profile and network over time.

The role is based in our Paris office.

What you do

Investments

- Conduct in-depth due diligence on individual companies and benchmarking in order to provide adequate risk/return analysis of potential investment
- Prepare investment committee/credit memos including financial modelling
- Review and negotiation of transaction documents
- Ability to interact and establish relationships with external parties

Fundraising and client communication

- Monitor existing investments
- Preparation of materials for investor communication whether in the context of reporting or fundraising

Others

- Capacity to train and grow more junior staff
- Contribute to our origination effort by building over time a personal network

Key working relationships with

- Investment Committee Members
- Business enabling functions: Risk Management, Legal, Products, Operations, Compliance and Product Specialists.

What you bring

- 4-7 years of relevant experience in the leveraged finance/private debt/debt advisory space
- In-depth understanding of credit risk, financial modelling, and structuring of transactions
- Proven track record of transactions from early stage ‘pitching’ phase through financial close and funding
- Solid academic track record
- Curiosity and appetite for leveraging AI tools (e.g., LLMs, prompt-based workflows) to enhance analytical efficiency and decision-making quality.
- Fluency in English and French, third European language would be a plus (in particular Dutch or German)
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
