Material Planner

About your role

At Suntory Beverage & Food Europe, we're looking for a proactive and analytical Material Planner to join our Supply Chain team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex challenges, bringing structure to ambiguity, and making a real impact on business performance. You'll play a key role in ensuring our materials are available at the right time and in the right quantities to support production and customer demand.
You'll be responsible for material planning activities across our external suppliers, Citresa operations, and third-party storage locations, while also acting as a key backup within the planning team. Beyond day-to-day planning, you'll have the opportunity to help design smarter ways of working, identifying opportunities for automation, process improvement, and data-driven decision making.

What You'll Do

- Manage material planning activities to ensure continuity of supply and optimal inventory levels.

- Coordinate material flows between suppliers, production sites, external warehouses, and Citresa operations.

- Monitor stock levels, identify risks, and proactively implement corrective actions to avoid shortages or excess inventory.

- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and delivery.

- Follow up and resolve supply issues, driving actions through to completion.

- Analyze planning data and generate insights that support decision-making.

- Develop and improve planning tools, reports, and processes to increase efficiency and visibility.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for automation and smarter ways of working.

- Act as a key planning partner across multiple workstreams, balancing competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and control.

- Provide planning support and backup coverage within the wider supply planning team.

What You need to be successful

Essential

- Some experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.

- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data and numbers.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work.

- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Ability to work through ambiguity and remain calm under pressure.

- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

- A proactive mindset with the energy and drive to follow up on actions and bring issues to resolutionA continuous improvement mentality and enthusiasm for finding smarter ways of working.

Nice to Have

- Experience in an FMCG environment.

- Exposure to material planning, supply planning, inventory management, or supplier management.

- An engineering, supply chain, logistics, or operations-related educational background.

- Experience designing reports, dashboards, planning tools, or process improvements.

- Spanish language skills, given collaboration with the plant in Spain
