Maintenance Planner & Repair Engineer

The Maintenance Planner & Repair Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting the exe-cution of maintenance and repair activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of offshore as-sets and equipment.
This role combines maintenance planning with technical engineering support, including preparation of mainte-nance schedules, repair work scopes, troubleshooting equipment issues, managing re-pair campaigns, and sup-porting rig projects and shipyard activities. The position works closely with Operations, Engineering, Vendors, OEMs, and Maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
## RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Maintenance Planning

- Plan and schedule preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
- Develop detailed maintenance work packages, including labor, materials, procedures, and resource requirements.
- Manage maintenance backlogs and ensure work is prioritized based on operational and safety requirements.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with Operations and maintenance teams.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Repair Engineering
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and subsea equipment.
- Develop repair scopes of work and support the execution of repair activities.
- Evaluate equipment failures and recommend repair or replacement solutions.
- Participate in root cause failure investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Support equipment reliability and asset integrity programs.

Projects & Shipyard Support

- Assist with planning and execution of rig upgrades, major repairs, shipyard projects, and equipment overhauls.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and OEMs to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Support inspection, testing, commissioning, and close-out activities.

Materials & Vendor Management

- Coordinate procurement of spare parts and repair materials.
- Monitor inventory levels for critical equipment components.
- Liaise with OEMs and service providers regarding repairs, technical support, and equipment upgrades.

Compliance, Safety & Reporting

- Ensure maintenance and repair activities comply with company standards, regulatory requirements, and OEM recommendations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records within the CMMS system.
- Promote a strong safety culture and participate in risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Prepare maintenance and repair reports, performance metrics, and technical documentation.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Required

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance engineering, or equipment repair within offshore drilling, marine, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience with maintenance management systems (SAP, Maximo, AMOS, or similar).

Preferred

- Experience supporting major maintenance campaigns, shipyard projects, or equipment overhauls.
