Reach Beyond at PALFINGER as a Shop Apprentice responsible for repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of lifting and material-handling equipment. In this role, you will perform shop repairs, preventive maintenance, inspections, warranty service, and troubleshooting on articulating cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, bucket trucks, platforms, conveyors, trucks, and trailers. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues while communicating needed repairs and maintaining accurate service documentation. This hands-on position is based in Winter Garden, FL and provides the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a safety-focused service environment.

Your Responsibilities

- Perform shop repairs and troubleshooting on articulating cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, bucket trucks, platforms, conveyors, trucks, and trailers.

- Perform preventive maintenance according to customer schedules, Annual DOT inspections, warranty service, and emergency or unscheduled repairs during working and non-working hours.

- Communicate mechanical issues and needed repairs to the shop manager.

- Complete service documentation in a timely manner, including estimates, work order authorizations, parts ordering and recording, labor, and inventory documentation.

- Comply with state and federal safety regulations while maintaining safe, clean, and orderly work areas.

Your Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED required, with 1-3 years of mechanical experience or training emphasizing articulating cranes and forklifts.

- Strong proficiency in mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, troubleshooting diagnostics, and welding.

- Basic computer skills with knowledge of Windows applications, along with a proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and be resourceful.

- Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 75+ lbs. for extended periods, with exposure to inside/outside conditions, noise, vibrations, oils, and hazards.

- Must supply your own hand tools; PALFINGER proprietary tools will be provided.
