- Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and internal equity
About You
You are an analytical and results-driven professional with experience using data and reporting to improve inventory management, operational efficiency, and business performance. You excel at identifying trends, delivering actionable insights, and providing strategic recommendations that support customer service, labor optimization, and financial goals.
## Purpose
To design, develop and implement data collection and reporting methods in order to analyze inventory level, location and demand. To provide strategic recommendations to the Branch Director and Warehouse Manager on items related to customer service, labor efficiency, space management and business financial performance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for identifying inventory patterns through detail data analytics including, but not limited to item yearly turns, season velocity of turns by items, item life span and parent life spans, physical location classifications (ABC) and item turn classifications of ABC, Cubic velocities, part number hit rates, replenishment rates and valuation dynamics and other analytics that provide insight.
- Responsible for improving branch inventory intelligence by developing and implementing routine reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) to track, analyze and forecast storage capacity, inventory levels, equipment and labor requirements.
- Ensure inventory availability and minimize wasted stock by determining optimal inventory levels and replenishment plans.
- Reviews order and inventory requirements and works with the Supply Chain Manager regarding projected needs for whole goods (power units), parts and accessories.
- Plan and validate inventory position including item movement velocities and coordinates with marketing, service and demand forecasting to strengthen customer service results.
- Works with the Warehouse Manager to develop and implement strategic inventory/operational and service plans. Responsible for demonstrating improvements to labor, cost and service efficiently.
- Responsible for maintaining warehouse database(s) with respect to part or accessory changes for use in customer communication and internal references which include all supersedes, new items, usage, descriptions and interchange of product, inventory adjustments and master data classification of every sellable whole good, part and accessory in the inventory as needed.
- Lead physical inventory counts and WMS accuracy by item, location and moves.
- Function as subject matter expert, providing coaching and mentoring to related areas of the organization.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related discipline is preferred.
- Possesses strong statistical and analytical skills.
- Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- SAP experience strongly desired; excellent data entry skills; excellent organizational skills.
