Role Description

The Account Executive – Resident, Tax Professionals is a full time, on site role based in one of Pune, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Jaipur, Kanpur or Lucknow, with one role per city. This person will be the face of Lexlegis.ai in their own city, and will report to the Manager – Legal and Tax Professionals. Candidates must already live in the city of posting.

The role is measured on one number: annual recurring revenue built in the city, backed by new subscriptions every month, trial to paid conversion, renewal collection and the association events run.

Every Pr. CIT station city has its own tax community of CAs, tax consultants and tax advocates handling assessments and appeals under constant deadline pressure. They trust people they know, from their own city. The Account Executive will own the local income tax practitioner ecosystem and build the city's subscription base from the ground up. This includes building a community of practising Chartered Accountants and CA firms, tax consultants and tax advocates, ICAI branches and CA study circles, tax bar associations, and practitioners appearing before CIT(Appeals) and ITAT.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Owning one Pr. CIT city end to end

• Mapping every CA firm, tax consultant and tax bar member in the city

• Working the Pr. CIT, CIT(Appeals) and ITAT ecosystem, reaching practitioners who handle appeals, assessments and litigation

• Running monthly camps and clinics with the ICAI branch, CA study circle and tax bar association

• Closing practitioner and small firm subscriptions, and converting trials within the month

• Owning local renewals, collections and referrals

• Reporting local competitor, pricing and product gap insights every week

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of experience in field subscription or professional services sales in the city of posting, with an existing network among practising CAs, tax consultants and tax advocates

• Already living in the city of posting, with fluency in the local language (mandatory)

• A record of owning a territory single handed, with minimal supervision

• Working knowledge of income tax practice, including assessments, appeals before CIT(Appeals) and ITAT, TDS and GST returns

• The energy to run events, visit offices and keep activity high every week

• A graduate degree in any discipline

Good to Have

• Experience selling tax research, compliance or accounting software to practitioners

• A CA, law or commerce qualification. We especially welcome Chartered Accountants and tax professionals who have moved into sales
