As an Executive Director reporting to the VP, Customer Engagement & Transformation (CE&T), this leader serves as the strategic translator and connector between Human Pharma business priorities and the full portfolio of CE&T capabilities. The role develops a deep understanding of the strategies, operating realities, customer needs, market dynamics, and performance opportunities of assigned Therapeutic Areas, brands, Value & Access, Patient Excellence, and Medicine, and determines how CE&T should engage to enable business outcomes.
The Executive Director, Enterprise Business Engagement leads Enterprise Business Engagement as the senior business-facing integration point for CE&T. The role looks beyond stated requests to anticipate emerging needs, uncover opportunities the business has not yet articulated, and shape integrated solutions that bring together the right CE&T functions, services, data, technology, and expertise. The role ensures that business stakeholders experience CE&T as a coordinated strategic partner rather than a set of disconnected capabilities.
This leader sets the strategic direction, operating model, and portfolio priorities for the Directors reporting into Enterprise Business Engagement. The role establishes how the team engages business leaders, diagnoses needs, frames opportunities, mobilizes CE&T capabilities, and stewards solutions from initial problem definition through alignment and execution readiness. The Executive Director makes enterprise-level tradeoffs across competing needs, determines which organizational levers to activate, and escalates decisions requiring VP or cross-pillar governance.
The ED, Enterprise Business Engagement applies strong working knowledge of AI, data, analytics, digital products, platforms, and technology-enabled operating models to recognize where emerging capabilities can create business value. It does not own the technical build or enterprise AI governance; instead, it translates business opportunities into clear outcomes and requirements and connects the appropriate CE&T, IT, and global partners to evaluate, prioritize, and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
As a senior CE&T leader, the Executive Director represents GTM Planning and Activation with business leadership, builds trusted executive relationships, and influences cross-functional priorities, investments, resourcing, and ways of working. Success requires strategic foresight, strong business acumen, executive communication, leadership through other leaders, and the ability to create clarity and coordinated action in a highly matrixed, regulated environment.
This role is based on-site at our Ridgefield, CT location with hybrid flexibility of 2-3 days per week on-site.
