About the Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to join a well-established commercial construction organization. This role is responsible for preparing detailed estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals, coordinating subcontractor and vendor pricing, and supporting preconstruction teams in developing cost-effective construction strategies.
The ideal candidate has strong commercial construction estimating experience and has worked on $20M+ projects, with the ability to manage complex estimates from quantity takeoff through bid submission.

What You’ll Do
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from construction plans and documents.
• Review and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Develop scopes of work and coordinate pricing for multiple trades.
• Solicit and coordinate bids from subcontractors and vendors.
• Prepare material and cost summaries based on vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Track pricing, value-engineering opportunities, and estimate changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and an audit trail throughout the estimating process.
• Incorporate project schedules, logistics, phasing, and site conditions into estimates.
• Work closely with operations and field teams to identify cost-effective construction approaches.
• Support bid-day activities, procurement presentations, and major estimate deliverables.
• Assist with analysis of building components and MEP systems.
• Build strong working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, project teams, and clients.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to other team members.

What We’re Looking For
• 2–5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating $20M+ commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, and subcontractor pricing.
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff.
• Experience with BuildingConnected.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to occasionally travel as needed.
