Torch Technologies is seeking a skilled Simulation Interface Unit (SIU) Operator with experience in System-of-Systems (SoS) Modeling & Simulation (M&S) to support the Missile Defense Agency Director for Ground Test (MDA/DTG).  The SIU Operator will participate in MDA Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) test events by remotely operating SIUs and operate OSF software located in Missile Defense System (MDS) Element HWIL laboratories.

As a Simulation Interface Unit (SIU) Operator your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

- Execute simulation framework applications
- Execute post-run data collection scripts and move data to a central location for uploading to the MDA data center
- Maintain active accounts with appropriate user permissions on each SIU
- Follow SIU Operator procedures and document departures from normal procedures
- Monitor computer resources (e.g., available hard disk space) on each SIU and report when resources are insufficient to support testing
- Maintain daily run log sheets
- Write and follow procedures, document configuration requirements and changes, and verify system, software, and hardware settings continuously
- Report anomalous simulation behavior (e.g., intercepts not occurring as expected, intercept debris not generated, etc.)
- Work with M&S Integration Manager to coordinate for event connectivity requirements
- Proactively troubleshoot and overcome functional/technical problems.

Required Qualifications:

- U.S. Citizenship
- BS in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science from an accredited university
- 0-5 years’ experience
- Active clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days of offer
- Participates in a multi-disciplinary team to solve technically complex problems
- Critical Thinking for with Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to Troubleshoot Software issues
- Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of working in a team environment that includes participant lab personnel
- Organizational skills with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience using Linux; experience writing Linux scripts is a plus
- Good communication skills
- Linux+ Certification
- Experience with the Missile Defense Agency, operations center, or a ballistic missile defense system.

Schedule:  M-F; 8-5
