About this role
The Director Network Development is responsible for coordinating, negotiating and handling activities of the network development functions across the country for all networks for the assigned region. The Director is accountable for strategic growth and maintenance of networks to ensure competitive market positioning with regards to access, quality and cost.
This role supports customers and business needs across the Western region of the United States.
- 12+ years w/Bachelor’s degree; 3+ years management
- A successful track record managing and negotiating major provider contracts
- Exceptional analytical skills to identify and evaluate business solutions
- Experience building and maintaining various provider networks across large geographies
- In-depth knowledge of managed care and healthcare business
- Experience with value-based contracting is preferred
- Experience with commercial and government programs is preferred
- Strong management skills to effectively manage division activities enterprise wide
- Excellent organizational/time management and project management skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Strong negotiation and strategic thinking skills
- Detail orientation and problem-solving capabilities
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
