Fleet Manager - Managed Aircraft Requisition ID 2026-6101 Category Maintenance CAMO/Part 135 Location Columbus Work Base Onsite / Office Job Profile The Fleet Manager will provide maintenance support for the Vista Americas Managed Aircraft fleet. The primary goal is to provide the highest possible level of fleet reliability and overall aircraft availability. The Fleet Manager reports to the Director - Liaison Engineering and serves as the primary maintenance point of contact for Vista's managed aircraft fleet, providing maintenance oversight, coordination, technical guidance, and communication support to the Aircraft Management Advisor (AMA) team. Acting as the central hub for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activity, the Fleet Manager works across Maintenance Control, Technical Services, service providers, OEMs, and internal stakeholders to ensure aircraft maintenance events are properly planned, communicated, and executed. This role is responsible for maintaining visibility into the maintenance status of assigned managed aircraft, supporting maintenance planning initiatives, coordinating maintenance events, tracking deferred items, and helping drive aircraft availability and service reliability. The Fleet Manager does not work independently to resolve every maintenance issue; the FM instead leverages the expertise and resources of Vista's maintenance organization to provide timely solutions, recommendations, and communication to the AMA team and aircraft owners. The Fleet Manager develops in-depth familiarity with the managed fleet and serves as a trusted maintenance resource for Aircraft Management Advisors by helping navigate maintenance events, providing guidance on upcoming maintenance requirements, and coordinating the many internal and external resources required to support the fleet. Responsibilities: The Fleet Manager will serve on the Technical Services Team as a multi-aircraft system expert. The Fleet Manager shall have the following responsibilities: Manage relevant fleet types and maintain in-depth knowledge of standard maintenance practices used for their respective fleet type(s). Establish the position as a technical expert resource within the Liaison Engineering Team. Coordinate and engage in developing corrective actions, advising flight crews, Flight Operations and Maintenance, providing aircraft systems troubleshooting guidance, and supporting preventative maintenance practices. Develop and implement troubleshooting best practices for various aircraft systems.Collaborate closely with Maintenance Control, Base and Line Maintenance to resolve recurring discrepancies and generate preventative maintenance actions to reduce or eliminate their impact on aircraft availability. Support the effort to develop, maintain, and monitor fleet and aircraft level Direct Maintenance Cost with the focus of initiating direct cost reduction initiatives, providing input to modify existing aircraft maintenance plans to account for aging aircraft, and optimizing aircraft maintenance plans based upon aircraft utilization. Seek new and newly developing maintenance, fleet management techniques and processes to improve performance, availability, and to reduce operating costs. Support the development and maintain a database to track aircraft troubleshooting events and findings for future reference and to recommend adopting procedural improvements. Monitor fleet performance, flight crew feedback, reliability analysis and maintenance program changes for improvement opportunities and to initiate corrective actions. Support the review and assessment of Airworthiness Directives affecting aircraft within the fleet, providing guidance in terms of applicability, affected aircraft, and potential benefits of implementing optional bulletins, for best practices to ensure timely compliance. Review and assess manufacturer, vendor and supplier Service Bulletins, Engineering Orders, Service Letters, Service Difficulty Reports, and other such documentation, applicable to specific aircraft, systems and/or components, to determine whether the recommended procedures, parts replacement, modifications, etc. should be incorporated and to determine the impact, cost, and downtime. Assist internal and external stakeholders in researching documents, parts, tooling, and methods to repair the aircraft.Drive timely technical communications to the Aircraft Management Advisor (AMA) team to ensure the best results for each owner. Minimum Qualifications: 7+ years of experience managing business aircraft maintenance or equivalent experience3+ years of experience in high-demand Part 135 or 121 maintenance operations 2+ years of demonstrable project management experienceAviation Maintenance Degree preferred.
