THE ROLE

We're hiring a Material Handler – Level 1 at our Utah Facility. You'll safely move, store, and transfer materials — including forklift operation, inventory support, and assembly assistance — as part of our Materials team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Consistently demonstrate safe material handling and warehouse practices, including safe forklift operation within Fabrication and Warehouse areas

- Properly receive, move, stage, issue, and account for raw materials and production components, including picking, preparing, packing, and transferring for shipment

- Perform daily inspections of all powered lift trucks and verify safe operating condition

- Competently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved material handling equipment, including bundling and palletizing

- Accurately identify material types, part numbers, heat numbers, and inventory labels

- Maintain organized inventory locations and proper material storage practices, following FIFO and inventory control procedures where applicable

- Perform basic ERP/WMS transactions accurately, including navigating Mendix for manufacturing/catalog picking and BPCS for warehouse picking

- Assist with assembly operations, including operating, monitoring, and inspecting assembly machines, tools, dip tanks, paint lines, impregnators, and related equipment

- Support quality assurance by inspecting and preparing materials/products for shipment, ensuring compliance with reliability and process control requirements

- Complete all daily checklists and TPMs, and ensure area 5S duties are completed

- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company safety standards

- Accurately document work performed, inspection findings, and time and materials used

- Communicate with Line Leads, Shift Supervisors, Engineers, and Planners on equipment issues and production needs

- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve workplace efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve quality

- Willing to unload trucks and transfer material from outside locations, including during inclement weather, and work overtime as business needs require

WHAT YOU NEED

- High school diploma

- Previous forklift operation/certification

- Ability to lift 45 pounds and perform tasks involving fine and gross motor skills

- Understanding and application of workplace safety procedures

- Good written and oral communication skills

- Ability to work independently, efficiently, self-motivated, and detail oriented

- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment

- Computer literacy with Microsoft Windows software; ability to use manual and electronic inventory systems

- Familiarity with SWI/SOP processes

- Good understanding of shop math and

- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

COMPENSATION

The hourly pay range for this position is $20-24 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This role may also be eligible for shift differentials, overtime pay, and the full benefits package described above
