Industrial Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Carris Reels, Inc. is seeking a reliable and hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in McKinney, Texas . This role is ideal for someone with solid preventative maintenance experience and a working knowledge of basic electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.

Youll support the maintenance and performance of our reel production equipment through routine inspections, troubleshooting, minor electrical work, and general repairs. If you're detail-oriented, safety-minded, and mechanically inclined, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on machinery and equipment according to schedule.

- Troubleshoot mechanical and minor electrical issues on production equipment.

- Assist with inspections of wiring, fixtures, motors, and control panels.

- Perform repairs on mechanical and electrical components as needed.

- Support equipment installation and assist contractors or electricians when required.

- Document all work completed in maintenance logs or reports.

- Monitor equipment for unusual sounds or conditions and report potential issues.

- Follow plant safety procedures and participate in regular

Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED.

- 3+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance .

- Basic understanding of electrical systems , circuits, and troubleshooting (PLC experience a plus, but not required).

- Familiarity with mechanical systems, tools, and preventive maintenance programs.

- Ability to read manuals, schematics, and basic blueprints.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs , stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and work in physically demanding conditions.

- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature changes (no climate control).
