Backend Operations Director

- Develop and execute outsourced manufacturing strategies with key assembly and test partners, including capacity planning, production footprint optimization, and long-term operational roadmap development.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield, cycle time, quality, and overall manufacturing performance across discrete and module products.
- Lead commercial and cost management activities, including pricing negotiations, pricing roadmap development, and site-related cost optimization initiatives.
- Manage new product introduction (NPI), technology transfer, and manufacturing development projects, ensuring successful implementation and operational readiness.
- Define and maintain packaging, test, and manufacturing technology roadmaps, aligning supplier capabilities with business growth and product requirements.
- Oversee supply chain and sourcing initiatives, including out-of-China manufacturing strategies, part number setup, qualification, and production readiness activities.
- Support compliance, audit, and governance requirements, ensuring adherence to production standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.
- Serve as the primary operational interface with external manufacturing partners, driving cross-functional collaboration, issue resolution, best-practice sharing, and support for strategic TDI-related initiatives as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have experience in semiconductor manufacturing, OSAT management, backend operations, or supply chain leadership.
- Strong business and commercial acumen, with experience in supplier management, pricing negotiations, investment planning, and strategic sourcing.
- Proven ability to influence and hold external manufacturing partners accountable, driving alignment with company objectives and operational standards.
- Deep understanding of semiconductor backend processes, including assembly, packaging, testing, capacity planning, and outsourced manufacturing.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Highly respected industry professional with strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, ideally with an established network within the semiconductor/OSAT industry.
- Strategic thinker capable of balancing operational execution with long-term manufacturing, supplier, and business growth strategies.
