Manager Quality Management

We are seeking a highly motivated Manager Quality Management to drive quality excellence across our Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) partners. In this role, you will be responsible for managing supplier quality performance, leading quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards, and supporting new product and process qualifications. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and subcontractors to achieve world-class quality performance and continuous improvement.

Your role Key responsibilities in your new role

- ### Supplier Quality Performance Management
Implement, monitor, and drive OSAT partners' quality KPIs, including regular reporting to customers and management.
- Analyze quality performance trends and develop improvement plans to achieve quality targets.
- Act as the primary quality interface between internal stakeholders and subcontractors.

- ### Audit & Customer Management
Coordinate customer audits, customer visits, and internal quality audits with subcontractors.
- Prepare and support subcontractors to ensure successful audit outcomes.
- Lead annual VDA 6.3 quality audits to evaluate compliance with quality systems, process controls, technology capabilities, and process stability.
- Conduct regular shop floor surveillance to verify implementation of quality controls and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards, including ISO, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Support development projects, safe launch activities, and production ramp-up audits.
- Conduct regular audit reviews and monitor corrective action effectiveness.

- ### Deviation Management & Customer Complaint Handling
Facilitate and drive subcontractor 8D problem-solving activities for customer complaints and internal quality incidents.
- Lead root cause analysis, containment actions, corrective actions, and risk mitigation plans.
- Monitor complaint resolution within agreed timelines and ensure effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Review production and quality reports to identify trends and recommend quality improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to prevent customer line-down situations.
- Review Material Review Board (MRB), lot disposition decisions, and Quarantine Material Requests (QMR).

- ### Zero Defect & Continuous Improvement Programs
Drive supplier quality improvement through the implementation of quality operating systems and Zero Defect initiatives.
- Lead continuous improvement programs focusing on defect prevention, process optimization, and operational excellence.
- Identify manufacturing risks and improvement opportunities within supplier operations.
- Promote and deploy quality methodologies such as: Lean Manufacturing
- Six Sigma
- Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing)
- FMEA
- Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)

- Provide coaching and training to subcontractors on quality tools and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Lead regular quality reviews with supplier operational teams and senior management.

- ### ICO & Material Quality Management
Review wafer disposition activities and coordinate wafer return arrangements with Front-End manufacturing teams.
- Support incoming wafer and finished goods logistics quality management activities.
- Drive improvement actions through Incoming Concern Observation (ICO) management processes.

- ### New Product Qualification & Change Management
Support qualification of new subcontractors, products, materials, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
- Review project milestones, quality assessments, production control plans, FMEAs, and safe launch reports.
- Collaborate with Development and Engineering teams to establish robust process controls and quality requirements.
- Review and approve change management activities involving processes, equipment, materials, packages, and manufacturing sites.
- Review and approve Engineering Change Notices (ECN), Assembly Test Instructions, quality procedures, and operating instructions.
- Ensure supplier documentation, inspection records, and quality controls meet company and customer requirements.

Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Science, Electronics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry within Quality Management, Product Development, Technology Development, Process Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and testing operations.
- Experience working with OSATs, suppliers, or subcontractors is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of deviation management and structured problem-solving methodologies. 8D Problem Solving

- Knowledge of failure analysis and reliability assessment is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 requirements.

- Excellent analytical thinking and decision-making capability.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Mandarin proficiency will be an added advantage.
