Overall   Requirements:

Our Operations Department is looking for a Warehouse Receiving Team Lead to support receiving operations and inventory control activities. This role is responsible for the accurate processing of incoming materials, inventory transactions, receiving documentation, and compliance with established receiving procedures. The position supports the efficient flow of materials throughout the facility by maintaining inventory accuracy, investigating discrepancies, and assisting with receiving process improvements.

This position is focused on receiving operations, inventory control, documentation accuracy, and process administration. It is not a supervisory or management position and does not have responsibility for employee hiring, discipline, performance evaluations, scheduling, work assignments, compensation decisions, attendance management, or other personnel-related matters. Employee management responsibilities remain with the Operations Manager, or other designated management personnel.

This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

Receiving Operations

- Process incoming shipments in accordance with established receiving procedures.

- Verify received materials against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and other supporting documentation.

- Review incoming materials for quantity, identification, condition, and documentation accuracy.

- Complete inventory transactions accurately and timely within the company's inventory management system.

- Maintain accurate receiving records and supporting documentation.

- Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, shortages, overages, damages, and documentation issues.

- Coordinate with Purchasing, Inventory Control, Supply Chain, Production, and other departments regarding receiving requirements and material status.

Process Administration

- Maintain receiving procedures, work instructions, forms, logs, and supporting documentation.

- Review receiving activities for compliance with established policies, procedures, and quality standards.

- Identify opportunities to improve receiving accuracy, efficiency, and process consistency.

- Support the implementation of approved process improvements and corrective actions.

- Assist with testing and validation of receiving-related process changes and system updates.

Reporting and Documentation

- Prepare and maintain receiving reports, records, and operational metrics.

- Monitor receiving transaction accuracy and documentation completeness.

- Track receiving-related inventory discrepancies and corrective actions.

- Maintain records in accordance with company requirements and audit standards.

Safety and Compliance

- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and workplace requirements.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.

- Ensure proper handling, identification, storage, and movement of materials.

- Support compliance with ISO, customer, regulatory, and company requirements as applicable.

- Maintain required certifications and training related to equipment and material handling.

Education and Experience

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Minimum three (3) years of experience in receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, or related operational functions.

- Experience with ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems preferred.

- Experience in manufacturing, repair, distribution, telecommunications, electronics, or logistics environments preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Strong understanding of receiving operations and inventory control practices.

- Working knowledge of shipping and receiving documentation.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.

- Ability to accurately process routine and repetitive transactions.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to analyze discrepancies and identify root causes.

- Ability to interpret and follow written procedures and work instructions.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of business and operational information.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical warehouse activities throughout the workday.

- Ability to safely lift and move materials in accordance with company guidelines.

- Ability to operate material handling equipment and maintain required certifications.

- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
