Viva Life Home Health & Home Care is growing, and we are looking for a compassionate, dependable Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our home health team on a PRN, per-visit basis.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing one-on-one care, values flexibility, and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families.
Candidates must be a CNA or have completed the required training and competency requirements to qualify as a Home Health Aide.
Because Viva Life provides both Home Health and Home Care , qualified team members may also have the opportunity to pick up additional home care hours based on their availability and interest.
What You'll Do
As a Home Health Aide, you will provide care in the patient's home under the established plan of care and appropriate clinical supervision.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Assisting with safe ambulation, transfers, and mobility.
- Providing assistance with toileting and other activities of daily living.
- Reinforcing safe techniques and care instructions established by the clinical team.
- Observing the patient's condition and promptly reporting changes or concerns to the supervising clinician.
- Maintaining a safe and respectful environment in the patient's home.
- Completing required visit documentation accurately and on time.
- Following infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and agency policies.
- Providing compassionate care while protecting each patient's dignity, privacy, and independence.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification pathways:
- Be a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) who meets applicable requirements to provide home health aide services;
OR
- Have successfully completed the required Home Health Aide training and competency evaluation requirements applicable to the position.
Additional requirements include:
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain as required.
- Ability to successfully complete required background and employment screenings.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and required automobile insurance.
- Ability to travel to patient homes throughout the assigned service area.
- Dependability and strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow the patient's plan of care and work under appropriate clinical supervision.
- Compassionate and respectful approach to patients and families.
Previous home health experience is preferred but not required for an otherwise qualified candidate.

In addition to PRN home health aide visits, team members who are interested may have opportunities to work with our Home Care division , providing longer shifts and one-on-one support to private-pay clients.
Participation in Home Care is optional and based on availability, qualifications, and client needs.
This can be a great fit for someone who wants the flexibility of PRN home health visits while also having the opportunity to pick up additional hours.
