PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Provides analytical and administrative leadership for agronomy operations and procurement. Independently evaluates operational, pricing, inventory, vendor, and sales information; develops recommendations and protocols; and advises division and location management on matters affecting purchasing, product availability, pricing administration, process efficiency, and business performance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Serves as the division subject-matter resource for Agvance reporting and processes. Independently evaluates workflows, identifies control or efficiency gaps, develops and implements protocols within delegated authority, and trains team members on approved systems and processes.

Analyzes vendor, purchasing, inventory, margin, and sales reports; identifies trends, exceptions, and business risks; and provides management with recommended corrective actions or business opportunities.

Administers agronomy input pricing in Agvance in accordance with approved pricing strategy and controls; evaluates source data and pricing exceptions, resolves discrepancies, and escalates material risks with recommendations.

Conducts sales territory and market analysis, interprets results, and recommends territory, resource, customer-segmentation, or process changes to division management.

Develops and maintains sales and marketing decision-support tools based on business needs, evaluates effectiveness, and recommends revisions to improve adoption and results.

Partners with location managers to evaluate product requirements, delivery priorities, inventory exposure, and service risks; recommends inventory movements, replenishment priorities, and operational responses within established authority.

Provides analysis and recommendations used in the development and implementation of divisional marketing and procurement plans; monitors results and recommends adjustments based on business performance and changing conditions.

Exercises discretion and independent judgment when interpreting data, prioritizing competing business needs, resolving non-routine process or data issues, and recommending actions that may materially affect inventory, pricing administration, vendor performance, operating efficiency, or customer service.

Leads cross-functional process-improvement initiatives and coordinates implementation with sales, operations, procurement, finance, and location personnel.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

May be required to cross-train and substitute for other administrative positions.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, supply chain, analytics, finance, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.

Requires demonstrated knowledge of agronomy operations, procurement, inventory, pricing, business analysis, and process improvement, together with advanced proficiency in Agvance, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.

Demonstrates the ability to analyze complex information, distinguish routine from material issues, make recommendations with limited supervision, manage confidential or competitively sensitive information, communicate with management, and exercise sound business judgment on matters of significance.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

May be required to work extended hours beyond those considered “normal” to meet seasonal demands.

Work is conducted mainly in a typical office environment, sometimes in a noisy, open area while interacting with team members and serving customer’s needs.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
