Laboratory Technician - Quality Control

Job Description This position involves gathering and testing samples within a specified timeframe, entering results into SAP, and storing retains as required. You will maintain comprehensive, accurate, and legible test records in accordance with company policy and record-keeping procedures. Additionally, you will perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks for both the laboratory environment and testing equipment, assist with minor laboratory equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, and support customer pre-ship sample order requests. Responsibilities

- Gather and test samples within expected time frames.
- Enter test results into SAP and store retains as required.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and legible test records.
- Perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks for the laboratory and equipment.
- Assist with minor laboratory equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Prepare and ship samples for external laboratory testing.
- Conduct testing and analysis for special projects and nonconforming product investigations.
- Assist with maintaining and updating laboratory procedures.

Essential Skills

- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Entry-level or new graduates are welcome.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
- Familiarity with quality control and laboratory processes.
- Understanding of GMP, quality assurance, chemistry, biology, titration, viscosity, pH, HPLC, GCMS.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Strong computer skills with word processing, database, and spreadsheet experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work for timely completion.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with wet chemistry and various laboratory instrumentation such as Braebender, AntonPaar, Variomax, and Bruker NIR.
- Familiarity with general lab tasks such as pH measurement, moisture balance, analytical balances, pipettes, volumetric measures, ovens, stir plates, mixers, and warming plates.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
