About the Team
At Intuit, we believe in the power of early talent. Our internship and co-op program provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to real-world projects that impact millions. We get up every morning with our hearts beating fast, driven by the knowledge that we're transforming the world of consumer and small business finance. It's why our products continue to resonate with 50 million consumers around the globe. SMB and Business Platform is home to QuickBooks, the core product for tens of millions of small businesses worldwide. Within this organization, the SMB Business Operations (BizOps) team sits embedded with each product VP, from QBO Core to IAS/Accountant s, Omni, Customer Growth, and Commercial, turning ambiguous business problems into decisions leadership can act on. Join us as a Product Strategy and Business Operations MBA Intern. You will rotate across BizOps pods to get broad exposure to how a platform business this size actually runs strategy and operations, not a single narrow project, but the full range of problems a BizOps team owns: product and roadmap p rioritization, market and competitive assessment, executive communication, KPI definition, and the connective work between product, marketing, and finance. This role is a strong fit for candidates with a management consulting background, or MBAs using the summer to test consulting as a post-MBA path. The work mirrors a consulting engagement: a defined problem, a data-backed r ecommendation, and a stakeholder who acts on it, but built inside an operating business rather than delivered to a client.
Responsibilities
Partner with BizOps leads and product VPs across two or more pods (QBO Core, IAS/Accountant s, Omni, Customer Growth, Commercial) to get hands-on exposure to how product strategy and operations differ by business context.
• Take on a defined product strategy project with a named business owner and a measurable outcome, for example a market sizing analysis, a build/buy/part ner assessment, a roadmap prioritization framework, or a competitive assessment that leadership will act on.
• Translate customer and market signal into roadmap trade-offs, working directly with product leaders on what to prioritize and why.
• Support the synthesis of qualitative and quantitative input into a clear point of view, not a summary of options.
• Build and refine executive-read y materials (strategy memos, business reviews) that name the problem before the r ecommendation.
• Sit in on pod operating rhythms (staff meetings, business reviews) to see how decisions actually get made and tracked.
• Present findings and a recommendation directly to VP-level stakeholders at the end of the rotation.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program, with a graduation date after the internship end date.
- Prior work experience (2+ years) before business school. Management consulting background strongly preferred; strategy, operations, or high-growth startup experience also considered.
- Strong analytical ability. Comfortable moving from a messy business question to a structured hypothesis to a data-backed recommendation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to state a point of view clearly, not just lay out options.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to self-direct across multiple stakeholders with limited day-to-day oversight.
- Highly skilled with AI tools, agents, and automation, with an instinct for where they can remove manual work from a process critical to running the business, not just personal productivity use cases.
- Ability to work onsite for a minimum of 3 days per week. Nice to Haves: • Small Business B2B, SaaS, or fintech experience.
- Case interview or client-facing engagement experience.
- Experience shipping or piloting an AI agent or automation that changed how a team actually worked.
