Mako Industries is hiring an experienced Insulation Foreman with a strong background in petrochemical, refinery, oil & gas, or other industrial construction to lead insulation work for a project.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supervising insulation crews, performing material takeoffs, interpreting drawings and specifications, and coordinating manpower and materials. A key responsibility will be helping establish and lead an experienced installation crew, including utilizing an existing network of qualified insulation installers.
- Supervise and coordinate insulation installation crews on industrial projects.
- Perform accurate material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and field conditions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, insulation specifications, and work packages.
- Determine required insulation materials, quantities, and manpower for assigned work.
- Plan daily work activities and coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Recruit, identify, and help assemble qualified insulation installers for the project.
- Utilize an established network of experienced industrial insulation craftsmen when additional manpower is required.
- Monitor crew productivity, workmanship, and project progress.
- Ensure insulation work is completed according to project specifications, quality requirements, and schedule.
- Coordinate with project management, supervision, other trades, and the customer as needed.
- Identify field issues and assist with developing practical solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of manpower, materials, progress, and daily activities.
- Enforce company and project-specific safety requirements and participate in toolbox talks and jobsite safety meetings.
- Assist with hands-on insulation work and provide technical guidance to the crew when needed.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in industrial insulation , preferably in petrochemical, refinery, oil & gas, LNG, power, or similar industrial facilities.
- Previous experience as an Insulation Foreman, General Foreman, Leadman, or experienced Journeyman Insulator .
- Demonstrated ability to perform material takeoffs and quantity estimates .
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, isometrics, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of industrial insulation systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate insulation crews.
- Established contacts or professional network of qualified industrial insulation installers is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
