About the Role

Our Legal team is growing, and we're looking for a paralegal who thrives on organization and variety roles. You will provide support to the legal team and work with our internal stakeholders and outside counsel. We are seeking someone with strong organizational skills and ability to work in fast paced in house legal environment. Oil and gas experience is a plus but will consider someone with strong paralegal fundamentals.

Responsibilities

- Support attorneys with case management, docketing, document organization, and outside counsel coordination on demands, subpoenas, and litigation matters.

- Assist with the intake and processing of legal notices and related correspondence.

- Partner with internal teams to collect documentation needed for demands and litigation matters.

- Assist with legal holds and eDiscovery, including issuing hold notices, tracking compliance, and coordinating document collection and preservation.

- Assist attorneys with preparing case summaries and reports.

- Work with outside counsel on vendor onboarding and legal billing through OpenInvoice.

- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including calendaring, travel, and expense reporting.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

- Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- 2+ years of paralegal or legal support experience.

- Solid grasp of legal terminology, processes, and document management practices.

- Strong organizational skills and comfort juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.

- Clear, professional written and verbal communication.

- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive).

- Experience using entity management software to track corporate records and filings.

- Be a team player and assist as needed within the department.

- Sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

Nice to Have

- Bachelor's degree or ABA-approved paralegal certification.

- Experience in an in-house legal department or the oil and gas industry.

- Exposure to litigation support, contract management systems, and/or document management platforms.

- Familiarity with oil and gas business operations.

- General understanding of AI and its practical applications.

Work Environment

This role is based in our Oklahoma City office and is primarily in-office, with occasional hybrid flexibility.
