This position is for an Early Career Industrial Engineer supporting one or more of the product lines in Chelmsford. This role will be responsible for assisting with the development of production operation time standards, tracking cost and schedule performance at the part level, establishment of efficiency calculations, capacity/manpower assessments, trend analysis, capital equipment justifications, production layouts and process flows, cost reduction initiatives, and other process improvement activities. The role will work closely with the Product Manager, Product Lead and other Program Support Teams to refine and improve production in an RF and microelectronics assembly environment.
Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from an accredited college
* Knowledge and understanding of Production / Industrial Engineering concepts
* Tools and skills for driving continuous improvement projects
* Experience with process simulation modeling
* Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills
* Experience with SAP ERP system
* Experience with simulation modeling, specifically Simio
* Understanding of Capacity Planning, Man-loading / Balancing, Estimating / Line Flow
* Manufacturing layout development, specifically AutoCAD
* Experience/Internship working in an manufacturing environment
* Lean/Six Sigma Training or Certification
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $65500.00 - $121700.00
