BASIC PURPOSE:

Partner with the global Supply Chain user community to analyze business processes, gather and document requirements, provide functional application support, resolve production issues, and drive system enhancements across the Supply Chain application portfolio, including MXP, AMOS, AIM, and related systems. Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure solutions align with operational objectives, improve efficiency, and support continuous business process improvement.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide functional support for Supply Chain applications serving a global user community across shoreside and shipside operations, including MXP, AMOS, AIM, and related systems; troubleshoot application issues, analyze business impacts, and ensure timely resolution to support uninterrupted business operations.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements; evaluate current business processes, identify improvement opportunities, perform gap analyses, and develop functional solution recommendations aligned with operational objectives.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories for development teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, tested, and implemented in accordance with business needs and established standards.
- Support system enhancement initiatives by participating in solution design reviews, documenting business processes, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), validating results, and facilitating successful implementation and user adoption.
- Conduct functional testing and quality assurance activities, including developing test scenarios, test scripts, and validation plans to ensure system changes, integrations, configurations, and upgrades meet business requirements and maintain operational integrity.
- Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and third-party vendors to investigate and resolve production issues, identify root causes, prioritize corrective actions, and implement sustainable solutions that minimize operational disruptions.
- Lead change management activities and onboarding for new ships, business units, and application enhancements by developing training materials, delivering knowledge-transfer sessions, and promoting adoption of system functionality and best practices.
- Maintain and improve business process documentation, including functional specifications, SOPs, process flows, knowledge base articles, and training materials, ensuring procedures remain current, standardized, and compliant with organizational policies.
- Promote data integrity and process compliance by supporting data governance activities, validating master data changes, coordinating mass data uploads, and ensuring consistent application usage across the global Supply Chain organization.
- Support application upgrades, releases, and new system implementations by assessing business impacts, coordinating testing activities, documenting functional requirements, supporting deployment readiness, and assisting with post-implementation stabilization efforts.
- Lead small to medium-sized functional initiatives and continuous improvement efforts, coordinating activities across stakeholders, tracking deliverables, managing risks, and ensuring successful execution in accordance with SDLC and project governance standards.
- Provide guidance and functional expertise to business users, serving as a subject matter expert for Purchasing and Logistics processes and applications while fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

DIMENSIONS:

- The Functional Analyst is a member of the IT Supply Chain team and supports enterprise applications that enable billions in annual procurement activities across Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings' global shoreside and shipside operations.
- This role supports a portfolio of Supply Chain applications, including MXP, AMOS, AIM, and related integrated systems, serving a diverse global user community across Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, and Shipboard departments.
- The Functional Analyst acts as a liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams, driving business process improvements, supporting system enhancements, facilitating user adoption, and ensuring effective utilization of enterprise applications. The position contributes to projects, testing, training, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, data integrity, and compliance across the organization.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

- This position reports to the Manager, Supply Chain Systems and is responsible for providing functional support and business analysis for the Supply Chain applications portfolio. The Functional Analyst serves as a liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams to ensure business requirements are effectively translated into solutions that support operational objectives.
- The role requires regular collaboration with Purchasing, Logistics, Inventory, Finance, Hotel Operations, and Shipboard teams to support business processes, resolve application issues, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Key responsibilities include requirements gathering, functional testing, user training, troubleshooting, and supporting system enhancements.
- The position exercises independent judgment in analyzing business needs, recommending solutions, and coordinating issue resolution, while escalating strategic decisions and significant risks to management. The Functional Analyst is also expected to promote best practices, improve business processes, maintain documentation, and support user adoption initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience.

EXPERIENCE:

- Preferred candidates will have 5+ years of experience supporting business-critical enterprise applications and business processes within Supply Chain or related functional areas. Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting process analysis, coordinating testing activities, supporting system enhancements, and delivering end-user training is highly desirable.
- Candidates should possess a strong understanding of end-to-end procurement and logistics processes, including requisitioning, purchasing, receiving, inventory management, invoicing, and supplier management. Experience serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating process improvements, and supporting enterprise-wide application initiatives is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required, including the capability to evaluate business challenges, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with business users, IT teams, leadership, and third-party vendors.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain, and business processes.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements.
- Ability to develop business process documentation, functional specifications, test plans, and training materials.
- Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and supporting application implementations and enhancements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading small to mid-sized initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Proficiency with enterprise business applications and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
