Modeling and Simulation Test and Analysis Engineer

n Logic is seeking a talented Modeling and Simulation Test and Analysis Engineer to join our team supporting advanced missile defense systems in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience with software testing, coding, and modeling and simulation (M&S), with the ability to analyze test results, identify issues, and develop scripts and tools that improve verification and testing processes.

Primary Responsibilities

- Perform software testing and analysis of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) products supporting missile defense systems.

- Execute STRATSim regression runs and analyze results to verify software performance and identify anomalies or issues.

- Develop and maintain scripts to streamline testing procedures and automate verification processes.

- Analyze test results and support root cause analysis of identified issues.

- Document software issues and track findings in GitLab.

- Maintain technical documentation associated with M&S products.

- Perform updates to the STRATSim User Manual and other supporting technical documentation.

- Support continuous improvement of M&S testing and verification processes.

- Work collaboratively with software developers, systems engineers, analysts, and other technical personnel to resolve issues and improve M&S products.

- Apply engineering principles, analytical methods, and coding skills to support the verification and validation of M&S software.

Qualifications

- Active Secret Security Clearance

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field

- Experience of relevant engineering, software testing, or Modeling and Simulation

- Position requires experience with software testing processes and demonstrated coding or scripting skills.

- Experience with missile defense analysis, Modeling and Simulation, or an equivalent Department of Defense (DoD) system is highly desired.

- Experience working in a Linux environment is preferred.

- Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) organizations and programs is preferred.

- Experience with GitLab or similar software development and issue-tracking tools is preferred.

- Demonstrated self-initiative, analytical ability, and continuous improvement mindset.

- Must possess the ability to clearly express technical ideas and concepts, perform effectively as part of a team, and operate successfully in a multi-tasking environment.
