Fleet Parts Lead (Rotational Schedule) - Prudhoe Bay, AK

This is a remote position, working a rotational schedule in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided while on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job Purpose

Responsible for leading fleet parts operations while performing equipment and parts management functions. Oversees inventory, warehousing, procurement, and parts distribution activities in support of fleet maintenance operations. Provides day-to-day leadership, technical guidance, and coordination for parts personnel while ensuring equipment, tools, materials, and consumables are available to support operational requirements safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

Essential Job Functions

- Provides day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to fleet parts personnel.
- Schedules daily workload and assigns appropriate resources to meet operational priorities.
- Reviews fleet maintenance and project requirements for equipment, tools, parts, and consumables.
- Evaluates inventory requirements and initiates requisitions to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Arranges shipment and delivery of parts and materials from inventory, suppliers, or other locations to support fleet operations.
- Supports assigned contracts related to the procurement of spare and repair parts.
- Ensures inventory accuracy through proper receiving, issuing, tracking, and cycle count processes.
- Examines work processes and materials for compliance with company standards and operational requirements.
- Provides technical assistance to customers, fleet personnel, and operations teams to ensure acquisition of correct parts and equipment.
- Coordinates with maintenance, operations, procurement, vendors, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted fleet support.
- Manages daily schedules and participates in planning and coordination meetings.
- Acts as a mentor and resource for team members, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Visits assigned work areas regularly to monitor inventory activities, identify issues, and support personnel.
- Accountable for safe work practices, toolbox meetings, safety compliance, and inventory-related safety procedures.
- Conducts safety and productivity observations and participates in required technical, leadership, and safety training.
- Demonstrates support for the company's environmental management system and adheres to all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Gathers historical, operational, and financial information as needed to support inventory planning, budgeting, forecasting, and procurement decisions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehousing, procurement, and parts distribution practices.
- Familiarity with heavy-duty equipment manufacturers including Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, Volvo, John Deere, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, Case, Bobcat, Link-Belt, Manitowoc, and Grove.
- Familiarity with light-duty and support equipment manufacturers including Ingersoll Rand, Joy, Gardner Denver, Wacker, Sullair, Maxi Heat, Allmand Brothers, Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge.
- Ability to train, direct, and assess employee performance related to fleet parts operations and inventory management.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, inventory records, technical documents, maintenance manuals, and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of industry specifications and standards including ASTM, ASME, NACE, NFPA, MSS, API, and NEC.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to follow all company, client, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with computerized inventory systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:

- Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
- Standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather
- Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.
- Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.
- Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
- Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
- Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.
- Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.
- Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum five (5) years of experience in fleet parts operations, inventory control, warehousing, procurement, or equipment parts management.
- Minimum one (1) year of leadership, lead, or supervisory experience directing or coordinating personnel and workflow.
- Experience with computerized inventory and stock management systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid driver's license and ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) certification or ability to obtain certification.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting heavy equipment and commercial vehicle maintenance operations.
- Experience managing inventory in remote industrial, oilfield, mining, or North Slope environments.
- Experience with procurement planning, inventory forecasting, and warehouse leadership.
- Experience working in remote North Slope operations.
