About Our Internship Program:

Throughout your internship, you will have regular events, weekly lunch and learn sessions, and receive customized training from our business units. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and abroad. The interns will gain first-hand exposure to Stanley Black & Decker and have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network. Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, and confidence. Interns must be team-oriented and collaborative.

The Job:

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to support Industrial Designers with key activities including:

- Assist in developing adaptable parametric surface models for new products using CATIA.
- Support the team in utilizing data reuse techniques to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Learn and follow 3D modeling best practices.
- Help manage 3D CAD data using a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
- Contribute to multiple projects, providing support as needed.
- Help ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.

You will have exposure to several areas of Industrial Design 3D SURFACING at Stanley Black & Decker. You will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects with a cross-functional team of professionals.

The Person:

The ideal Industrial Design 3D SURFACING intern candidate will have the following qualifications:

- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD systems and an interest in surface creation (experience with CATIA is a plus; training will be provided).
- Strong aesthetic sense and ability to translate 2D sketches into 3D models.
- Basic understanding of design for manufacturing.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and good time management.
- Ability to work well within a team and balance multiple priorities.

- Valley City, Ohio

The base pay range for this position is $22.00- $27.00 per hour. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
