Entergy’s Power Generation group operates a fleet of 28 active natural gas, coal, oil, hydroelectric and solar facilities with the capacity to generate nearly 17,000 megawatts and is building or acquiring more than 3,000 megawatts of new natural gas generation to join its 30,000 megawatts of nuclear, natural gas, coal, oil, hydroelectric and solar facilities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Under general supervision, with some latitude for planning or laying out of working details and with responsibility for results, must be able to efficiently operate storeroom, issue and receive supplies and merchandise, maintain records necessary to properly record issue or receipt of all items passing through storeroom, take inventories, direct work of other storeroom employees, operate equipment used in handling material, and do related work as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have worked for at least 3 years, and qualified as Storeroom Assistant, or have had equivalent experience in related work

- Must be able to qualify for automobile and truck operator's license

- Know storekeeping procedure and be familiar with all records maintained in the storeroom

- Know materials and be able to identify same by type, size, serial number, etc.

- Must know and practice Company's applicable safety rules

- Know location of firefighting equipment and be familiar with operation and use of the various types

- Preferred:

Forklift certification

- Inventory management experience

- Storeroom operations experience

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Age: 21 minimum

- Must have full use of mental and physical faculties

- Have strength and endurance adequate for arduous labor as circumstances may require

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Be energetic and alert

- Be willing to work under unusual surroundings, as well as the normal working conditions pertaining to this job

- Be willing to work irregular or extra hours as required

- Be able to receive and execute orders and instructions in such a manner as to inspire respect of associates

- Be neat, clean and orderly in work and person

- Be willing to attend and take part in safety meetings

- Have temperament suited to work of a routine and confining nature and be able to work in harmony with other employees

- Understand importance of always rendering and maintaining first class, courteous service to all customers

- Understand the importance of treating as confidential certain items handled, and have ability to recognize such items
