JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of this role is to oversee Entergy Arkansas’s market operations (MISO Day Ahead and real-time) and support integrated operational and resource planning. This position leads cross-organizational collaboration, representing Entergy Arkansas’s interests in market committees, audits, and contract negotiations while ensuring optimal asset performance and cost efficiency. Responsibilities include supporting Entergy’s Arkansas’s integrated resource planning process, supporting regulatory filings and inquiries, and ensuring renewable energy compliance. This role partners closely with System Planning & Operations (SPO), Energy Management & Operations (EMO), Transmission Planning, Power Generation, Regulatory Affairs, and Power Development to support reliable, cost‑effective service for customers and effective planning for rapid large‑load growth.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Monitor operational conditions including load forecasts, outage schedules, curtailment signals, resource availability, and reliability risks; coordinate planned outages with Transmission Planning and Power Generation to ensure alignment with system planning timelines and seasonal capacity requirements.

- Support development and execution of Entergy Arkansas’s Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), including planning for emerging large‑load customers.

- Support resource adequacy and accreditation analysis by validating operational data used for MISO PRA and seasonal readiness.

- Support co‑owner relationship management by coordinating operational updates and outage information for jointly owned generating assets.

- Represent Entergy Arkansas in industry committees, audits, and inquiries (MISO, IMM) as needed; provide relevant operational data and ensure fulfillment of governmental and contractual requirements.

- Oversee Entergy Arkansas’s renewable energy compliance, including REC retirements and Green-e certification for tariff programs.

- Support regulatory filings, RFPs, RFIs, and respond to inquiries from FERC, APSC, and other agencies; act as subject matter expert for Entergy Arkansas’s market and operational compliance including testifying in regulatory proceedings as needed.

- Perform other duties as assigned to meet evolving business and industry needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or Business. Masters degree preferred

Minimum experience required of the position
7+ years

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Minimum requirements for this position include strong analytical skills with ability to interpret resource and operational data; working knowledge of energy market operations, integrated resource planning, and resource adequacy principles; excellent cross-functional communication skills to work across technical, commercial, and regulatory teams; and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
