About the role

As a Tax Compliance Assistant Manager , you will report to the Tax Reporting and Compliance Manager, supporting tax compliance and reporting activities , including Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Latvia. You will prepare and review tax filings, analyse tax positions, and provide insights to support business decisions. This is a cross-functional role covering a variety of Local, Direct & Indirect Tax matters, and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and develop your expertise in a dynamic, global environment.

Your responsibilities

Responsible for all tax reporting and preparation of local, corporate and indirect tax compliance

Tax compliance

- Assist gathering and analyzing financial data for tax compliance prepared by our outsource partner for the respective market.

- Prepare the necessary disclosures required in the tax computations.

- Prepare reconciliation of the current and deferred tax accounts and resolve queries with external auditors.

- Review tax computations and statutory accounts disclosures as prepared by our tax compliance.

- Calculate tax payments for respective markets.

- Prepare any filings necessary to access preferential tax regimes, such as R&D, local tax incentives etc.

- Prepare filings for relevant transactional taxes, such as withholding, stamp duty etc. and obtain the associated certificates.

- Review corporate and indirect tax returns prepared by an Outsource Partner.

- Preparation of local tax returns (e.g. municipal, state) and supporting documentation.

- Keep up to date with tax developments in the market(s). Identify change of law, rules or practice and update processes to remain compliant.

Tax reporting

- Input into Longview tax consolidation system and preparation of tax disclosures and audit deliverables.

Other

- Manage and develop the team of Tax Compliance Analysts

- Update controversy tracker for the Region.

- Support Advisory tax team with financial analysis in relation to information requests / audits from tax authorities or internal projects.

The experience we're looking for

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or tax

- 7-10 years of experience in tax compliance or analysis

- Strong technical knowledge of tax regulations and reporting

- Big Four trained (desirable)

- Experience in Share service centers desired

- English (essential); other languages a plus

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Experience of managing teams

- Experience with SAP and Longview tax software

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
