Position Summary:
Manufacturing Engineer in Stilwell, OK. This is the primary link between product design and the production floor that owns the processes, tooling, and documentation that turn product designs into repeatable, cost-effective manufactured output. The position covers the full lifecycle: building and validating prototypes, developing manufacturing processes for new products, improving existing processes and driving cost reduction and engineering change activity to implementation. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Stilwell, OK office/facility.

Role Responsibilities:

- Execute prototype builds. Plan, fixture, build, and document prototype units in support of new product development, including first-article inspection and build reports capturing lessons learned, also, executing manufacturing process improvement projects to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, scrap, rework, and non-value-added labor using lean and structured problem-solving methods; quantify baseline and post-implementation results

- Develop manufacturing processes for new product development. Define process flow, work instructions, tooling and fixture requirements, equipment selection, cycle times, labor standards, and quality checkpoints; participate in design reviews to drive design-for-manufacturability.

- Implement and sustain APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) discipline on new and existing products. Lead the stage-gate quality planning deliverables and hold the team to them as launch prerequisites rather than after-the-fact paperwork.

- Own the core APQP work products: contribute to DFMEA in partnership with Design Engineering; author and maintain PFMEA for all assigned processes.

- Translate high-RPN failure modes into Control Plans with defined characteristics, specifications, measurement methods, sample and reaction plans and cascade those controls into clear, visual, operator-level Work Instructions.

- Complete process capability and measurement system studies (Cp/Cpk, Gage R&R) on key characteristics and manage PPAP or equivalent submission packages where customers require them.

- Keep FMEAs and Control Plans living documents. Update them following engineering changes, process changes, customer complaints, and corrective actions, and audit adherence on the floor.

- Manage engineering change requests. Evaluate technical and cost impact, coordinate review and approval, manage effectivity and inventory disposition, and ensure routings, bills of material, and work instructions are updated accurately and on time.

- Lead cost reduction initiatives. Build and maintain a funnel of material, labor, process, and design-based cost reduction projects with quantified savings, owners, and target dates; report progress against an annual savings goal.

- Support production troubleshooting and root cause analysis for process-driven quality escapes, including corrective and preventive action ownership and support supplier and outsourced process qualification in partnership with Supply Chain and Quality.

- Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation and master data. Routings, standard times, work instructions, and process control plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

- B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or closely related discipline) OR equivalent experience
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a low-to-medium volume, high-mix engineered products environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and document manufacturing processes for new or transferred products with practical understanding of process capability, measurement system analysis, and sampling plans
- Demonstrated working knowledge of APQP methodology and its core work products including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and dimensional inspection methods.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (BOMs, routings, standards) and CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications:

- Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher), or equivalent structured continuous improvement training.
- Formal APQP/PPAP training or experience in an AIAG-aligned or IATF 16949 environment.
- Experience in filtration, fluid handling, energy, or process equipment markets.
- Exposure to ISO 9001 quality systems and to code-driven or customer-specified product requirements.
- Hands-on capability with fixture design and shop equipment.
