Objectives :
- The Distribution Center Administrator supports daily warehouse operations by coordinating administrative functions related to receiving, shipping, inventory control, and customer order processing. This role ensures accurate system transactions, documentation, and communication between operations, customer service, purchasing, and transportation partners
- The DC Administrator plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and delivering legendary customer service through strong organization, attention to detail, and proactive communication
- Support and promote the Merit Brass corporate mission statement while consistently demonstrating the company’s core fundamentals and values in daily work activities

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Distribution Center leadership team and warehouse operations
- Create and maintain container IDs, container lists and shipment documentation
- Assist with troubleshooting system issues related to warehouse transactions
- Maintain receiving logs and documentation for inbound containers and supplier shipments
- Ensure container labels, packing lists, and system records match inbound product
- Support coordination of inbound shipments including indent orders and DC stock
- Generate Shipping documents including bill of ladings, packing lists, and labels
- Coordinate shipment schedules with carriers and internal teams
- Verify accuracy of orders prior to shipment
- Assist with cycle counts, audits, and inventory investigations
- Research discrepancies related to picking, receiving, and shipping errors
- Support initiatives to maintain high inventory accuracy and reduce errors
- Act as a liaison between the warehouses, customer service, purchasing, and logistics
- Provide updates on order status, shipping delays, or receiving schedules 
- Support Lean / 5S initiatives within the Distribution Center
- Identify administrative process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Assist with reporting and operations metrics as needed
- Perform other duties that may be assigned to support overall Merit Brass Distribution

Requirements :
- High School diploma required
- Minimum of two years of warehouse experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must have basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and RF Scanning
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent work habits including punctuality, attendance, and work ethic
