Job Description
Ingram Barge is seeking an Experienced Welder for our team in Port Allen, LA .
This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ingram’s fleet of barges. We operate in an environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks, and responsibilities keep things interesting!
What you'll be doing:
- Welding/Cutting/Fitting 6011 / 7018 / 7024
- Dry docking vessels for hull repair
- Operating forklift
- Operating hydraulic crane
- Firewatch on towing vessels
- Routine dock clean up
- Other duties as requested

Degree Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Years of Experience Required:
2-3 years of experience
Shipyard experience and USCG certification preferred
Additional Information
Candidates must:
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Display excellent communication skills
- Can walk and lift for extended periods
- Can carry more than fifty pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirements
