Dir, Day Treatment (26280)

The position is responsible for managing the daily operations of an outpatient mental health program serving children aged 5-21 years old; including management of program supervisors, clinicians, and office staff. This position will participate as a leader in meetings related to the provision of mental health services to children and their families, and monitor quality of case records and documentation to ensure that records comply with regulatory requirements. This position will report to our Chief of Education and will work onsite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Participate as a leader in meetings related to the provision of mental health services to children and their families

- Manage the daily operations of the DTP. Create a positive work environment in which staff are empowered, respected, valued, and experience their role in fulfilling the agency mission.

- Coordinate policy and program planning activities with other agency staff:

Participating in executive Educational Leadership Team

- Participate in CANS implementation meetings

- Participate in Day Treatment/NHS management and organizational planning meetings

- Provide consultation to intra-agency service providers and to community service providers

- Maintain liaisons with community Mental health and local school districts regarding mental health services

- Provide steady oversight of the program while participating in transformational efforts for this program as NRFS plans for services to be carved into managed care

Implement CANS – responsible for the quality of the CANS implementation. Utilize the CANS report to evaluate the program’s performance and impact

- Participate in transformational efforts to streamline and make more efficient the administrative processes of the two 853 schools and subsequent clinic service redesign

- Work in collaboration with the Executive Educational Program Director to review student data on achievement, behavior, attendance, and restraints and assist in the development of schoolwide responses.

- Work with the Executive Educational Program Director to provide leadership to the day education program and supervise the Day Education Coordinator.

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

- Requires a master’s degree and at least five to seven years of related and progressively responsible experience.

- CERTIFICATION / LICENSURE

- LCSW-R licensure required.
