Job Description

Join the growing Warfare Systems Business Group at HII Mission Technologies! We are seeking a mid-level Business Analyst (Business Process Analyst) to support the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) . In this role, you will help advance DSCA’s mission by supporting key modernization and process‑improvement initiatives that strengthen how the organization manages, delivers, and coordinates security cooperation activities.

You will work closely with DSCA stakeholders to understand business needs, analyze workflows, and translate requirements into clear and actionable solutions. This position plays an important part in helping DSCA improve efficiency, enhance collaboration, and support consistent, high‑quality development of security cooperation processes and programs.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Candidates should be well‑versed in core Business Analyst duties, including:

- Gathering and analyzing data to support mission and business expansion opportunities

- Identifying specific business needs and recommending actionable improvements

- Influencing stakeholders and collaborators to support modernization projects

- Assisting with project management activities across key DSCA initiatives

- Coordinating with cross‑functional teams to improve productivity and workflow alignment

- Evaluating current business processes and recommending process enhancements

- Converting roadmap features into clear and manageable user stories

- Writing structured and well‑defined business requirements and documentation

- Identifying opportunities for workflow and process automation

- Creating reports, dashboards, and visual summaries to communicate performance insights

- Analyzing process bottlenecks and recommending improvements

- Communicating and validating requirements with stakeholders and end users

- Supporting the development and maintenance of reporting and analysis tools

- Performing data discovery, modeling, and analysis to support decision‑making

- Collaborating with product managers on roadmap planning and workforce optimization

Minimum Qualifications

- Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

- Superior presentation and negotiation skills

- Strong management and organizational skills

- Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments

- Minimum 6 years of experience in a Business Analyst role in the defense industry

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, economics, marketing, finance or related field

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance at the time of consideration

- Remote-eligible position; must align with Eastern Time Zone core business hours

Business Process Analyst 3

6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.

Business Process Analyst 4

10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements

- Experience supporting the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) or organizations involved in Security Cooperation , Foreign Military Sales , or Defense Acquisition

- Prior exposure to DoD programs, policies, or partner‑nation engagement workflows

- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional government or defense‑industry teams

- Familiarity with business processes within DSCA, DCSA or related foreign intelligence and security agency

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide informed recommendations

- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including government personnel, program managers, and technical teams

- Demonstrated ability to develop clear, organized documentation and translate business needs into actionable recommendations

- Experience supporting modernization, process improvement, or organizational change initiatives within a government or defense setting

- Comfortable working in fast‑paced environments with evolving mission priorities

- Proven ability to identify workflow bottlenecks and propose process enhancements

- Experience developing and maintaining reporting tools, dashboards, or performance metrics

- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence others in support of mission objectives

Physical Requirements

- Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods while working at a computer.

- Ability to operate a keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment to perform analytical tasks.

- Must be able to effectively communicate in virtual meetings, briefings, and secure collaboration environments.

- Ability to review, analyze, and interpret digital data for extended periods with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Occasional light lifting of documents or equipment up to 10 lbs, if needed for home-office setup.

- Must maintain a home work environment that meets company and government security requirements (e.g., controlled space for handling sensitive or FOUO information, if applicable).

- Must be able to work assigned East Coast core business hours to support program and customer requirements.
